Not to be confused with governors children or a motherboard company.
SAT scores of 120+ get you in the Able Students Group and it is just about the most elitist, prejudiced (almost communist) organisation this side of the MCC. They ask their Elite Group what needs to be done, not to improve the life of people in the school in general, but to improve the lives of Elites. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS? Get this:
"One man, one vote"
It works, doesn't it? Not if you go to the surroundings of Lab 6, where it goes:
"One Elite, one vote.
One ped, no vote.
One Scum, no vote and a DT"
Some say Elites actually receive more than one vote, i.e. Almighty Overlordian control over the school and it's policies.

Being Elite has its advantages, the least of which being the Elite Card, which will get you out of pretty much any situation you care to imagine yourself in. The original plan was to put a picture of one here, but they actually revealed slightly too much about certain schools in real life than we wanted.
The title of 'Able Student Man' was coined from the real name of the Elite Group - The Able Students group. As you can imagine, we made up the Elite Cards (as if the school would give them to us), and the funny thing is, we made the opposites as well - Scum cards. Giving Scott an Elite card was a mistake, as he used it the very next lesson to get out of a DT. And it worked on Dr. Dirty, the mad impetuous fool.
Scums, on the other hand are quick to take offense. Or, indeed, anything else they can lay their hands on.
We had two Elite meetings through the course of our school lives, but only towards the end of the 11th year did we witness a real Scum meeting - the students who were felt to be 'underachieving' were rounded up and gassed. No hang on...
